Kids and Meat Saws

Dave and Dennis stopped at our local butcher shop today to pick up a couple of things for our Christmas Eve dinner.  Dave got rather stressed when he lost the kid in a VERY crowded butcher shop.  Apparently, I had not bothered to tell Dave of our son’s fascination with the meat saw.  The butchers and I know that the second the saw starts spinning, Dennis flies around to the end of the counter to lean on the gate and watch the bone saw in action and he will stay until the works all done.  If only Dave had yelled “Where’s Dennis?” any of the people behind the counter would have given him a silly look and pointed to the end of the counter, because we all know where he’d be if there’s meat being cut.

It’s all just one more reason that all our meat and cheese comes from Milner Meats. Great service, good food and free kid entertainment.

A very wise woman once told me that life is about the story we tell at the end of the chapter. If statistics are to be believed, I’m closer to the end of my life than the beginning. I’ve quit the race to see who can have the office with best view or the most impressive job title. I’ve made peace with the fact there are some of my early dreams/goals that will never be realized. I love who I am and the women I have become AND boy do I have stories to tell!
