From a radio weather report: “Today we’ll see 2 to 4 inch of snow and 40 mph wind causing white out conditions in some areas” (Yes- that means the snow was above the top of my flip flops!)
Upon calling the front desk of a hotel to enquire about the “late night room service menu”: “Come down to the coffee shop and you can order anything you see”.
From a waiter in a full service restaurant: “I’m gonna put your order in then run out to my car for a minute, but I’ll be right back.”
