Day 9 – June 12 By Mitchel

We went to a breakfast buffet, which turned out to be really good but still I had cereal! We then drove out the monstrous rock, we planned to climb it but it was closed due to strong winds at the top.

Instead we walked around some of it and then decided we would head back for Alice Springs another 4 hour drive, stopping for gas and a coke every now and then.

At one of the stops we made, there were kangaroos and horses and giant birds, there was also supposed to be a singing dingo but he was gone for the afternoon. So we went out and looked at the horse and roos and the roo ended up giving me a kiss!

After that we still had about an hour until we arrived back home. We then went and got some pizza, which was also really good.

A very wise woman once told me that life is about the story we tell at the end of the chapter. If statistics are to be believed, I’m closer to the end of my life than the beginning. I’ve quit the race to see who can have the office with best view or the most impressive job title. I’ve made peace with the fact there are some of my early dreams/goals that will never be realized. I love who I am and the women I have become AND boy do I have stories to tell!
