When my nieces and nephews were kids, they referred to me as Cool Aunt Paula. They are all grown up now and have kids of their own. I think it's time to earn that title with the next generation!
Upon a recent visit to family in the United States, I was having dinner at the home of a very special little girl that happen to be my great niece. She asked me to help her paint some pretty ponies and insisted that I take both ponies home with me.
I suspect that at her age, she might not yet fully grasp world geography. Who better than this cool great aunt to being her education. My husband and son are almost as excited as I am about this whimsical adventure.
Winters in North Yorkshire are long dark and dreary. Just when you think you can't take the miserable weather one more day, the crocuses on the Harrogate Stray begin to pop up and tell you that spring is here.

We decided that the ponies would enjoy the crocuses too!
